DO NOT FEAR

DO NOT FEAR

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” – 2 Timothy 1:7

Fear cripples and it keeps bound.

In Hebrews 2:15 the bible reveals what Jesus came to do, which was to “… release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage “

Their fear of death, that is satan’s power kept them in bondage for their whole lifetime. Thank God we know now by the word that we have not received such a spirit.

Fear ought not to rule over you and you must not let it.

Part of the lyric from the popular Hillsong track, Oceans, says “take me deeper than my feet can ever wander and my faith will be made stronger”

You see fear is not the opposite of faith, fear only reveals that there’s a consciousness that’s lacking.

If I told you in your exam, you’ll be required to write 1-10, you won’t be as scared as if what I told you was Advanced PhD mathematics, which unless you are a professor of mathematics or a genius, you may not be able to solve. We see therefore that what sponsors the fear is either a knowledge or an absence of it.

So 1 John 4:18 would say to us ” There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

The love of God will get rid of that anxiety, low self-esteem, hurts, failure that are all a result of fear.

You have not been given the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind! Glory to Jesus.
