And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:16

In being commissioned to carry on Jesus’ ministry of reaching the lost, first it’s necessary to see that we’ve been saddled with the most noble work there ever can be. It looked so noble to the Apostle Paul that he thanked the Lord Jesus—1 Timothy 1:12 “and I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful; putting me in the ministry”. Its important to get the mentality of the Apostle as it’s  being revealed here, that, for the saving God to assign me a part in His work it must be something noble. Oh what an honor on the part of any to whom God allows to share in His work on the earth—but guess what? We are the ones whom the Father has trusted to co-labor with Him in reaping the earth, in filling the earth with the knowledge of Himself; that is His son Jesus.

One of the most explicit instructions Jesus gave the disciples before He ascended was to preach the gospel in every place. As believers we must believe that this is such a possibility! You must see (with your inner eyes) the gospel of the kingdom being preached in all the earth. You must develop new perspectives in line with the vision of the gospel—what this means is that you must develop a holy desire to see the gospel sweeping through places like a wave. This must be your mentality! Boy I could write a whole book on this. When you see O2 arena on television or hiphop musical shows, what comes to your mind? Do you picture men gathered en mass like that hearing the too good to be true news of what Jesus has done? Or you think such wild influence is only meant for pop stars? It is God’s desire to see many men come unto Him. It is His desire that the influence of His kingdom would spread. It is His will to have all men saved.

“Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth”. (1 Tim 2:4)

With the picture already painted in mind, you know that for God’s desire to be accomplished, he needs us. He is not looking for 2 to 3 fishes from the river, He said to go reap nations. Like colloquially speaking, He wants a “sold-out” show! Can you see God’s vision? And like we’ve established earlier it is a great honor for anyone to be summoned into the Lord’s business. What part are you going to play in actualizing this grand vision? We must preach, to one person, to tens of people but I’ve come to acknowledge something deep down In my spirit; if the kingdom of God will get the influence that’s due it, we must think big, we must think “how can we get the influence of this great gospel out on a large scale?” as we begin to think and pray in this line the Holy ghost begins to inspire wisdom in us to reach our own world—your world could be your school, it could be your sphere of influence. You must think big for the cause of the gospel! How badly do you want to see the glorious gospel rain its influence over your city? How badly do you want to see the influence of God’s word over your region? You see once you understand this, you would have understood what’s fuelling everything we’re doing in this ministry. Why we spare no cost! Why we go all out. Why we’re pushing the word out the way we’re doing! Why we’re continuously running with the vision; because this gospel deserves it all, because men’s lives and destinies depend on it. My goodness, even as I write I feel the glory of God hushing through this room. Precious saint, we’ve been called and chosen, we must go, we must spread to our generation the news of our Lord’s sovereign grace.

Confession- I make bold to confess that my generation is blessed because I came. I wield the influence of the great and glorious gospel. I am a proud and bold ambassador of the gospel, I make it popular effortlessly in my days, to the glory of the name of Jesus. Amen.
