MORE ON FAITH

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.”

2 Corinthians 4:13

Our faith is a potent tool and must be given expression by our actions. Many say they believe and don’t do anything, but when you truly believe, you act. That’s what faith does; it’s the response or action you take based on your belief. That’s why the Bible says, “Even so faith if it hath not works, is dead, being alone” (James 2:17).

Faith requires a corresponding action; you prove your faith by your actions. Whatever it is that you believe about Jesus Christ is revealed in your actions. The Word, as it’s given to us in the Scriptures, can be trusted, but for it to be effective in your life, you have to do what it says.

Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love me, keep my Word.” The Word of God is for doing. James 1:22-25 puts it in a nutshell: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”

Acting on the Word is where the power is; that’s what profits you.

Once you’ve given your faith corresponding action, you will begin to see its manifestation.

God has called this year our Legendary year, now imagine someone who claims to believe this word but keeps acting mediocre, brethren, don’t be such a person. Let the word you have believed take a hold of you. Hallelujah.
