“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Mark 16:17-18‬‬‬‬‬

A fluke in the context of our topic today refers to something happening accidentally or by luck and has the tendency of not repeating itself even if it’s subject to the same process as when it happened the first time, the question people ask these days is how do I know that this or that miracle is not a fluke or God in himself is not a fluke? How can I be sure it didn’t just happen by luck or chance that happens once in a blue moon?, What we should know first and foremost is that miracles cannot be explained logically even though the product of the miracle might seem logical because miracles does not follow the natural order of things just like we see in Matt 12:10-13 where Jesus healed a withered hand in seconds which defied even the natural healing process that normally takes days or weeks or even months because in the realm of the spirit where miracles are birthed time is of no constraint.

As believers, in as much as it’s not everything we over spiritualize but allow some follow certain principles to avoid having a spiritual excuse when it comes to excellence,we know by faith that salvation is the greatest miracle ever because Jesus died and he resurrected himself on the third day and in believing this we have great conviction that miracles do exist as believers and in extension perform these miracles as witnesses just as Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”

As we learnt previously in one of the midweek services; The believer and the miraculous,we will recollect that the average believer naturally believes in miracles because believing in Jesus Christ is believing in miracles and as such we know that miracles are birthed from the spirit and a believer being born of the spirit has no issues believing in miracles or doing miracles as the case may be and also as we see in Heb 11 vs 3 that says “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” we know that by faith we have been assured that the unseen realm is only visible by the spirit and has influence over the seen realm and by faith in the spirit we are assured of the realities of the spirit by faith

Remember we have assurance by faith that Jesus died and rose again and our salvation came from these finished works of Christ and by faith we know that miracles are a part of a believers life and it happens regularly all around us and in our lives as believers and our faith is built up in prayers because when we pray in the Holyghost our faith is stirred up and we see more into the spirit Jude 1 vs 20, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,”
