“For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.”

1 Peter 1:23 (NLT)‬‬

One of the major things we rejoice about and have total assurance of is our new life, the life we have found in Christ, and the life we now live just as Col 3:3 assures us that “For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God” and it’s a thing of joy to also know that this life is eternal and it’s a life of peace, Joy, Happiness and most importantly it is Grace-filled meaning we have been given this new life by the grace of God and the finished work of Christ Jesus and not of work lest anyone should boast (Eph 2: 9)

Our opening text gives us a perfect description of the major things our new life consists of which is Eternal life; an everlasting life, the one that comes from God who is also everlasting just as John 3 vs 16 says that “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” and by everlasting we mean life without end i.e void of death, because we know that because of the nature and fall of the first man death, came into the world but by the righteousness of one man Jesus life came and everlasting life at that, “Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.”-Romans 5:18 (NLT)‬

Our new life is also void of past sins, mistakes, errors, fears, and worries because we know that in 2 cor 5 :17 that “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” therefore we are assured that there are no more struggles, battles, situations, issues that will rise beyond what you can handle because we are strengthened to be overcomers

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”; -Galatians 2:20, in this passage we see Apostle Paul tells us that by faith in the Son of God; Christ Jesus, we have our new life and this new life entails the life of Christ, the life of victory that even though we are in this mortal body we have been transformed into the life of Christ and our minds being renewed. ‬

Brethren, this new life is birthed in the spirit and by the influence of the spirit in a believer the newness cuts across every stratum of a believer’s life, it’s a life we have been given already and not one birthed by prayer or works but by faith and it’s the God kind of life.
