RELENTLESS

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.”

1 Corinthians 9:24

Relentless means not letting go, one of the areas that we should be relentless in is in the area of our faith. As believers, we must be tenacious and relentless in our faith. Believers are not to be lily-livered! The Bible describes us as athletes and like soldiers; these two areas of life requires tenacity, discipline and courage. That’s exactly the expectation that the Word has towards us.

In Hebrews 12:1 NLT “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”

Believers are admonished to remove obstructions that are impeding a faithful work with the Lord. We are to Run with ENDURANCE, endurance is not needed in a sprint, speed is needed. Endurance is however required in marathon races, keeping a steady pace but having the endurance to get to the finish line. This is how we must be as believers, not relenting in our pursuit of God and seeing his vision actualized.

There are believers who are no longer part of a local church for one reason or the other, you may have a reason but you don’t have an excuse. You may have been offended or mistreated; you should not let that rob you of the blessings of being part of the body. You must stay and fight to the end.

And if we are currently bearing the cross of hardship or difficulty, we should continue to look to Jesus for encouragement to keep going.

The goal is to glorify God and to please Him, and to achieve that, as believers, we are not expected to live our lives watching from the sidelines but getting involved in the progress of the kingdom. And to remember that for everything we do, we consider the ripple effect it would have on the destinies attached to us. Hallelujah.
