– For “He who would love life and see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.

1 Pet.3.10

The scriptures compares the tongue to the rudder of a ship. Though, smaller parts of a bigger framework, they have so much impact. The Believer must be conscious of his words therefore, especially because you know that the Greater one lives in you.

The Spirit of God doesn’t dwell in temples anymore but in us, believers, meaning that we have the spirit and all the possibilities of the spirit are indwelt in us, and by that we have access to these possibilities. Being born again already guarantees us of being led by the Spirit; as the salvation experience is a work of the Holy ghost. “no man can say Jesus is Lord but by the Holy ghost” 1 Corinthians 12:3.

The Holy Ghost’s influence made you receive Christ, at that moment the spirit already began to lead you. As believers our joy now is that we are in God’s plan.

Having established that we have the spirit of God in us, it is important to add that whatever we need to fulfill God’s plan for us, is already in us, since we are in God’s plan. It therefore means that if one would follow the spirit and his guidance, one will continue to be within the circumference of God’s plan and purpose.

God’s plan and purpose isn’t just there, it is something that must be fulfilled. As believers we can’t afford to be driven by the senses, especially when making major life decisions. Every single decision you make is a fragment of the big picture (God’s plans), which makes it important that you never decide outside the spirit. When one is led by the Spirit he is not driven by senses. Following the leading of the spirit will always keep one in God’s plan. There’s always precision and accuracy in the spirit, one can never go wrong in following the leading of the spirit.  What today’s opening verse reveal to us Is that, our predominant confessions, either enable us to be further stirred in the direction of God’s plan and purpose, or diminish God’s ability. Hence our words are very important.

CONFESSION : I declare that I am not driven by my senses but I always yield to the leading of the spirit. I don’t make any decision out of my own sheer understanding but as I’m prompted by the Holy ghost.
