SERVING AND NOT STARVING

SERVING AND NOT STARVING

“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.”

Ephesians 6:7-8‬

The believers’ philosophy ought to be to “want all what God wants for us” and not part of His will.

You should not be a person that has so much knowledge but, do not look like what you know or that one whose service to God is not reflecting the extent of knowledge of God that he has acquired. If it is possible to know God well and still serve Him well, then we go for that best! Andrew Wommack an American minister of the gospel wrote a book titled “living in God’s best”, I think that’s a nice phrase, that’s a nice title. Such that we are living in God’s best, taking hold of everything that’s possible in God—by serving and still not starving.

In salvation, there is nothing more we can do to please God the Father. In Christ, God is pleased with us already, however, in service there are differing levels to our participation in the work of the ministry. Because of Salvation, that is what God has already done for us in Christ Jesus, we are supposed to serve with reverence. (Hebrews 12:28)

The true signature of a believer’s honor for the redemptive work is visibly seen in the character of our service to Him. A man does not love or honor God beyond what the level of his service to God reflects.

Even though everyone that’s been saved is supposed to serve, but no matter how much a man desires to please God, if the Holy ghost does not first supply the ability and willingness in us it cannot work. Our ability to serve God acceptably is firstly conditioned on the ability that He supplies (Philippians 2:13)

How does God supply ability? Where does this ability come from? “He giveth more grace” just as the book of James says and one of the ways is through submission and followership of a spiritual authority. When you train with horses, you’re most likely going to develop speed where that is needed, in the same way, God blessed His church with men in form of gifts, for perfecting/equipping/supplying the saints adequately, such that whatever is lacking in the saints is supplied. In following such men/ministry you’ll develop a heart for service.

Secondly join a local church if you don’t already belong and participate fully. This will enrich your walk, blessings.
