For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.Mark 11:23
The above verse explains that whosoever shall say a thing and believe in his heart Shall receive, with Emphasis on “whosoever”. This means if anyone can say something and just believe, he or she shall receive it. The bible didn’t say ” might receive” the bible says ” shall receive”.
The mouth does the speaking but what part of me does the believing?
Mark 11:23 answered the question, the part that says “and shall not doubt in his heart”. This explains that part of the work of Faith is the mouth and the heart, your heart does the believing. The words we speak have the power to shape and transform our lives. 1Pet.3.10 – For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.
The miraculous has a formula , if you can see it in your mind, it is done. When JESUS called the fig tree to dry up, he had no doubt in his mind and the reason why the fig tree withered is that as Jesus spoke to the tree, He already saw the tree wither in His mind, He was so sure of what he said.
Mark 11:23 explains that anyone that can say unto this mountain to move and shall not doubt in his HEART, This verse didn’t even mention having doubt in God’s word, it was just about having doubt in your own words, as we know there’s nothing wrong with Gods word just as we see in the parable of the sower. This made it clear that to get a mountain to move, all you just have to do is to speak to that mountain and also believe in your own words the same way Jesus spoke to the fig tree and it withered.
Elijah is also a very good example of this. Elijah declared that there won’t be rain for three years. 1 Kings 17:1 Elijah made that declaration because he has prayed to a point whereby he now has confidence in his own word, knowing that his words will always have an impact. It didn’t rain for three and half years but when it was time for the rain, Elijah prayed. For us to be able to have confidence in our words and not have any doubt, You must burn doubt and unbelief in the place of prayer, labouring with God’s word till you speak to those mountains with great confidence.
As believers when we understand how powerful God has made us and everything that we’ve received through salvation, we won’t find it difficult to speak in situations because we now know that as we speak we receive answers. Speak to that situation right now, SPEAK GOD’S WORD!
