THOROUGHLY FURNISHED

When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His power extends over everything. (MSB)

Col.2.10

The King James rendition of our anchor scripture says ” We are complete in Him”, Glory to God!  Christ did a perfect work in the believer, a complete one that He won’t be required to die again or even fret over the authenticity of what he accomplished. Heb.10.14 – For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Heb.10.19-20 – Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

Now that we have established how the sacrifice of Christ has perfected us, let’s take a look at how we take full advantage of this.

2Tim.3.14-17 – But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,-that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Apostle Paul admonishes Timothy that “he must continue in the things which he has learned “, you must realise the spiritual things are slippery and require deliberate and intentional engagement for us to enjoy them.

We also see that it’s the scriptures that ensure the man of God is thoroughly equipped for every good work. We must give attention to the scriptures, by this we can be thoroughly furnished unto every hood work.

You must begin to explore God’s word to ensure you are walking in the vital realities of the things we have received by the sacrifice of Christ,  I like how it’s said in Philemon1.6 – that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
