“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31

I do not think there is any Christian who ever walked the journey of a Christian faith without having to wait on God at some point or the other .This is such an important topic to be addressed especially in our generation where there’s the pressure to show off and “pepper dem” as we would say in our local parlance; a generation that put results ahead of process, where the end Justifies the means, a generation that is fast moving, intrigued with Faster Internet, faster food, faster cars and the likes.

The word wait means to hope ,to anticipate and to trust. To hope and to trust in the Lord requires faith,patience,humility,meekness,long-suffering and enduring to the end. Its encouraging to know that when we wait on the Lord, it’s not time wasting, we are being strengthened!

To wait on the Lord means planting the seed of faith and nourishing it.

What you do while waiting plays a vital role in you receiving your expectations.

Firstly, you should continue to confess the word (Write out the promises you are standing on) As believers we use our words to build our blocks in the spirit realm because whatsoever that is going to happen in the physical realm would have happened first in the spiritual realm, we therefore use the word of God in our mouth to build our world. Your Confessions must be consistent with God’s word at all times.

As believers waiting on God ,we have to constantly speak the word of God concerning the situation because whatsoever God has spoken must surely come to pass.

Secondly, we do not faint or grow weary in the place of prayer “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”Romans 8:26. If you are going to get your requests, you are going to learn how to pray .You need to pray because you need to silence the voice of doubt. Prayer will strengthen you to wait on God.

You need to pray for your heart to be opened to the work God is doing through this current season.
