“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Matthew 26:41‬

Fight your battles through prayer and win your battles through faith in God.

There is no doubt that God has ordained in His all-encompassing foreknowledge and His infinite wisdom to respond to the pleading of His people and perform great triumphs through prayer.

There is mighty power in prayer. It has much to do with our obtaining fulness of power in Christian life and service. The one who will not take time for prayer may as well resign all hope of obtaining the fulness of power, God has for him. It is “they that wait upon the Lord” who shall “renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31). Waiting upon the Lord means something more than spending a few minutes at the beginning and close of each day running through a stereotyped form of request.

“Wait upon the Lord.” True prayer takes time and thought, but it is a great time-saver. At all events, if we are to know the fulness of power we must be men and women of prayer.

Eph.6.18 – praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints–

Prayer is how we withstand all the wiles of the devil.

It is through prayer that we release the Holy Spirit’s power into our lives and the work we do in soul-winning.

Ask God for the power of the Holy Spirit to help you be more of a blessing to the lost in soul winning.

Acts.4.31 – And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

We see the disciples just after returning from being flogged and persecuted, praying for boldness to preach the Gospel, and they did because the Holy Spirit was working in them and they were in partnership with him through prayer.

As believers, we must learn to Wield the power of God in us through prayer, we can chart the course of our lives, make indelible marks in our pursuits and be a blessing to the kingdom as we rise and take our responsibility in prayer.
